Family STEM Camp - Why?

Since Ci 1.0, our first year of Camp Infinity summer camps, I've been encouraged by our camp families to start a family camp. Why have we chosen to start one?

I enjoy asking campers and counselor applicants a very simple question - "Why?" It makes people think. So I decided to ask, and hopefully answer, that question for myself - why am I starting a Family Camp this summer?

Here are the primary reasons:

  1. To fulfil the request of Ci families who have been asking for this since Ci 1.0
  2. To encourage and equip families with STEM-talented young people
  3. To provide early exposure of STEM to younger child
  4. To expose more families to the value of combining STEM & biblical worldview
  5. To help families prepare their children for their future overnight camp experience

Being our very first family camp, while we are still fine tuning the schedule details, here's an overview of the kinds of things families will be able to do at Ci 3.0 Family Camp.

  1. Enjoy 2 full days at the Creation Museum
  2. Students, ages 6 and up, will do various STEM activities while parents enjoy special teaching sessions
  3. Parents will enjoy watching their young people demonstrate what they learned each day in STEM

Here's what's included in the tuition:

  1. Creation Museum admission for 2 days
  2. Planetarium show
  3. Star Gazing night
  4. Camel ride for the younger campers
  5. Several workshops at the Creation Museum
  6. Lodging at Potter's Ranch
  7. 3 meals a day, some at Potter's Ranch and some at the Creation Museum
  8. $25 gift card to purchase AiG resources in Dragon Bookstore @ the Creation Museum
  9. Autographed copy of Dr Damadian's (MRI Inventor) book - Gifted Mind (one per family)

The cost is only $325 per person!  The first step to coming to family camp is for the head of household to apply at https://campinfinity.com/camps/family-camp/. There is no cost to apply. You may also request financial aid if needed to help cover part of the tuition. If you enter the promo code TTDATL16 you will receive a special Teach Them Diligently discount of $20 per person.

Here's a short video about Camp Infinity by the inventor of the MRI scanner. https://campinfinity.com/about/video/#mri_inventor

Apply today and bring your STEM inclined young person to our first Ci Family Camp Experience!!

Ci 3.0 Family Camp is July 17-20, 2016.
