STEM camps done right are a costly investment

Many people who explore our website are curious as to why Ci is a larger investment than the average church camp.  I would like to clarify the value behind this investment.  We believe in setting up a cost structure that covers the costs to do a STEM camp right. This includes

  • making the best technology available
  • exposing the campers to experts in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math
  • well-trained counselors in STEM & biblical creation apologetics
  • very low camper:counselor ratio
  • exposing campers to information presented though excellent museums of both the biblical and secular world views
  • attracting highly skilled STEM educators

For families of limited financial means, this can make the investment of sending a child to Camp Infinity, cost prohibited. Rather than lower the cost and sacrificing what it takes to provide a STEM camp excelling in quality, Ci has opted to seek folks who would like to help others invest in their gifted child.

Knowledge + Discernment

But Ci is not your average STEM camp. We take STEM to a different level. While most STEM camps will teach kids "WHAT?", at Ci we not only do an excellent job of teaching them "WHAT?", we teach them "SO WHAT?" and "NOW WHAT?". This is the apologetics side of Ci. We've partnered with the biblical creation apologetics experts at Answers in Genesis and The Creation Museum to provide the first of its kind STEM + CAMP program. We define CAMP as Creation Apologetics Made Personal. Each camper will be challenged to consider the questions "SO WHAT?" and "NOW WHAT?" when it comes to the exciting and awe-inspiring science and technology they are taught. Adding this focus on teaching discernment is a crucial component to the Camp Infinity experience.

Here's how you can help.

When a parent is interested in sending a child to Ci, they fill out an online application which basically addresses two areas - fit for the child to STEM+CAMP and their need for financial assistance. We review each application and we extend an invitation to register as well as any financial assistance as we deem appropriate.

We currently offer $300 scholarships as the Lord lays upon the hearts of His people to donate. You can donate three ways:

  1. use your PayPal account and donate to [email protected]
  2. use your credit card and donate via this secure link
  3. send a check payable to "Camp Infinity" to 122 Montverde Drive, Greenville, SC 29609.

Your entire donation will be applied to help needy campers. Camp Infinity is a registered 501c3 with the IRS.
